Our menu brings together a variety of flavors, textures and contrasts based on the background of the owners and our friend chef Eve. The selection brings together influences of Jay’s Indian origin and features his mom’s homemade naan recipe made one at a time on a cast iron skillet, Scott’s upbringing around country cooking and Eve’s childhood memories of the spice markets in Jerusalem, growing up around vibrant flavors of Cuban cooking in Miami and her culinary training in France.
Fresh, made from scratch, bursting with flavor and partnering with local farmers and purveyors whenever possible, highlighting the season’s bounty. dessous is a special story of a community made up of long time staff, managers and owners, working together as a family. We are introducing this new menu as dessous evolves – and we welcome you, as one of the most important parts of our journey. Over time, you will see dessous continue to progress as we aspire to create something very special with and for you!
